Tokyo, house of Fumio Asakura

Fumio Asakura
(March 1st, 1883 – April 18th, 1964) was a sculptor working with bronze and influenced by Rodin. His house in Nezu is constructed around a small and beautiful ornamental lake. It's a large traditional house with 1930's style elements. He had a cactus garden under a glass roof where are now displayed his many cat sculptures. From the roof of the house there's a view over Nezu neighborhood.
